Definitely a family endeavor today, writing songs and singing started for me back in 1969 at age 14. In love with the Pop eclectic creations of The Beatles and many other ground-breaking Pop and Rock bands of the era, the fire for creating Pop music was ignited and has been burning ever since.
Musically Then and Now... After numerous original Rock bands in the 70's and 80's (Assault, Rockamerica, Don Cobb Band, Jester), and an 8 year run with the Blues via The Buddy King Band it seems that time has softened some of my hard edge and landed me gently yet squarely in the middle of the road. Still driven by the love of Pop and Rock melodies and vocal harmonies, my current band ONE BODY is in the process of recording my 4th CD.
My family, ministry... Having raised two gorgeous daughters (Danielle & Brittany) whom we're very proud of, who are now living independently, my wonderful, beautiful wife Dawn and I are blessed to still have our little Madison at home. With Dawn and I both working in the life recovery field, our family time is filled with our daughters, son-in-law Luis and our first grandbaby Abigail, and with running, tennis, playing music, games and reading. Both Dawn and I also enjoy serving with our friends at Sebastopol Christian church in the children's minisry (Dawn) and on the worship team.

Serving Our Community... I can't describe what a blessing it is to watch men pour in through the doors of the Redwood Gospel Mission, broken and upside down emotionally, mentally and Spiritually, needy in so many ways they can't even begin to imagine. Then, after a year or so of therapy and counseling, education, 12 simple steps and the breath of God being breathed back into them, watching them walk out as changed men, inside and out. I'm forever grateful as I watch them graduate the New Life Program, usually with tears running down my face. Grateful to see the obviousness of God's work, changing hearts and changing minds, undeniable and in plain view of all who have been involved with these men during their stay at the NLP, and grateful that I have been blessed to be the Director of the Redwood Gospel Mission men's programs, to be even a small part of people's lives being changed in such an obvious way.
My wife Dawn is also busy serving the recovering community, working in Administration for DAAC, the largest recovery non-profit organization in Sonoma County. We are both humbled and very grateful that we're able to serve our community in the ways we do. |
